Whether via her weekly slot on the Ray D’arcy show on Today FM or her range of memorable characters that she portrayed on the third series of Naked Camera (RTE2), Maeve Higgins has wowed audiences with her surreal and slightly dizzy leftfield view on everything from relationships to shopping to her much maligned eccentric family and friends. With two sell out tours of Australia already under her belt, this affable Cobh native has become a celebrity down under with the Melbourne Herald describing her as ‘more of a hurricane than a breath of fresh air to the comedy scene’. The comic, who is widely regarded as Ireland’s top female comic headlines the Comedy Club at Cuba* this Sunday, 13 July.
Support on the night comes from Ballymun native Willa White, who has come to prominence via Des Bishops 'Joy in Da Hood ' TV show and now regularly clubs both in Ireland and the UK. Gerry Mallon is the host and MC and tickets are available in advance at Bar 903, The Cellar Bar and at the door, which opens at 8.30pm. |
