Miss Universe heats have been extended once again at Karma Galway and Athlone as the main final in Citywest, Dublin, has been changed to Sunday 8 June. The date has been changed as TV3 are going to televise the event with phone and text voting on the night to decide who will become Ireland's Miss Universe representative. Ireland AM and Expose will also be covering the event and will be interviewing the girls who are chosen to go into the competition. TV3 will be making visits to the homes of the girls to find out more about them, which will be shown on the final night. Alan Hughes of TV3 and a surprise celebrity will be presenting the show to an estimated audience of over 300,000 viewers. Top Irish models Rosanna Davidson and Glenda Gilson will also be there to give their support to the 28 finalists, as will Miss Universe Ireland Managing Director Andrea Roche. There has been huge interest in Karma for this competition, which is only likely to increase with TV3 backing. So girls if you think that you have what it takes to win the Karma Galway or Athlone finals and represent Karma at Miss Universe Ireland, make sure you are in either club over the next few weeks to be picked by their talent scouts. The deadline for the Karma heats is now Sunday 11 May. |
