School's out for the summer but Galway's own Access Music Project is looking for students for its School of Rock in July.

AMP is offering a fun-filled week of music education and training, specifically developed by the project's experienced tutors.

Especially for 13 to 18 year olds, the School of Rock takes place in St Patrick's Band room, Forster Street, Galway and runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm from Monday to Friday 11 to 18 July, with a performance opportunity at the end of the week.

The fee of €145 covers all tuition, music and a snack meal but students must bring their own guitar.

During the week, students will play in an ensemble with an array of percussion instruments, have professional pop/rock singing and vocal training as well as a full week of guitar lessons.

Places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served. For more information, phone 091-565342.
