![]() Ireland's leading visual artist will be tutoring a six evening animation course at Galway Film Centre this September. Aideen Barry's course will show participants how to make their own short animation films using every sort of material, including photographs, video, drawings and clay. Aideen, who lives and works in Galway, has exhibited and worked throughout the world, including Canada, Sweden and Iceland in the mediums of animation, film, drawing, performance, sculpture and photography. She has even worked in Zero Gravity, when she was funded by the Arts Council in 2008, to travel to Kennedy Space Centre, NASA, Florida to film a project. Participants will work with i-stop motion, an easy-to-use editing package to put their short films together. This type of animation can be seen in the Wallace & Gromit films. Films can be shot on pocket digital cameras, mobile phones or camcorders.
