The official Galway launch of the Windows Anthology will take place in the Norman Villa Gallery in Salthill on Thursday, 8 November at 8pm.

Writers Aoife Casby, Alan McMonagle, James Lawless and Michelle O'Sullivan, who are included in the upcoming Windows Anthology, will read from their work. Windows Anthology, which contains new poetry, prose and visual art, is edited by poets Heather Brett and Noel Monahan.

"The importance of our having events in new and different venues, is to prevent events becoming stale by being based in the same places where, effectively, they attract the same people and become rather insular. The Norman Villa Gallery in Salthill has already staged a number of important musical as well as visual art events," said the centre's manager, Fred Johnston.

Admission is free. Details can be obtained at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
