Malta native, Galway residence Vicki Crowley will showcase her self titled exhibition in Kennys Gallery from Friday 23 November to Sunday 9 December.

After her extensive training in architectural drawing, Vicki travelled extensively in Europe and Africa where she lived and worked. Having spent part of her early childhood in Eritrea, Ethiopia and Benghazi in Libya, where her family had established businesses, she was already familiar with the continent of Africa where she eventually went to reside and work in Sierra Leone and Cameroon, West Africa with her Irish husband.

She returned with her family to Ireland in 1970 and established a studio in Galway from where she now works. She has had numerous solo exhibitions and commissions in Ireland and abroad.

A major show of her paintings was mounted in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Some of her other overseas shows were held in Brussels, Trieste, Brazil, Tenerife, The National Museum of Malta, and Mascat, Sultanate of Oman.

Salmon Publishing published her collection of poetry, 'Oasis in a Sea of Dust', which she wrote and illustrated in 1992.
