Music, literature, gardening, rustic furniture and a cinemobile are just some of the elements to feature at this year's Clarinbridge Arts Festival. The fourth annual Clarinbridge Arts Festival, which is building a reputation for its eclectic and exciting programme of events, will run from Friday 3 to Sunday 12 October. This year's line up features a blues band travelling from Northumberland to visit Clarinbridge and perform over the second weekend of the festival (10 to 12 October) in three different venues in the village. During the festival everyone is catered for with the great 'Johnny Whitehill and the Real Deal' performing at Paddy Burke's (seated event) and on the following two evenings at Sherry's and Jordans. For the first time, Clarinbridge will have its very own film festival with the arrival of the Cinemobile. The line up will include the Cannes award winning film Garage featuring Pat Short and a very unique film, Home. Special guests during the Film Festival will be Lelia Doolan and the director/producer of Home, Alan Cooke. Other events include a gala concert with Maigh Seola, traditional Irish music, literary, gastronomy, gardening events, rustic furniture, felt making, basket making, brass and wind instrument workshops, art and photo exhibitions, classical music, theatre, a children cookery class with Kate Wright and sports pub quiz.
