Ms Carmel Garrett, VP of the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras, will launch the First Annual Junior Orchestra Festival at the Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort this Sunday, 24 February, at 3pm.

Hosted by Coole Music in Gort, with sponsorship from both Galway and Clare County Councils, the festival will bring together the youngest orchestral musicians in Galway and Clare.

The event will feature Galway Junior Youth Orchestra led by Joanne Cater, Music Matters from New Inn led by Katharine Mannion, Mountshannon Youth Orchestra led by Jantien Vandenberg and Coole Junior Strings, led by Katharina Baker.
