Two of the world's biggest comedic stars headline the Comedy Club at Cuba* this Sunday, 8 June.

First up is the man who forever will be known, rightly or wrongly, as 'Fr Dougal', Ardal O Hanlon.

A founding member of the International Comedy Club in Dublin with the cult trio 'Mr Trellis', Ardal moved to London in the early 90s and, after winning several newcomer awards, landed the role that has defined his career in the smash hit sitcom 'Fr Ted'.

He has since gone on to star in three series of the BBC'S 'My Hero', presented his own soccer magazine programme 'Leagues Apart', won two British Comedy awards and two Bafta awards and recently released his first live DVD recorded in Vicar Street. Ardal's stand-up is a joyous mix of offbeat observations, silly stories and good old-fashioned tomfoolery.

Support on the night comes from newcomer Alan Bennett and Gerry Mallon is the MC.

And, as if that wasn't enough, on Tuesday 10 June, direct from last week's Cat Laughs Festival, the club plays host to the amazing Danny Bhoy.

For the last three years, Bhoy has been the fastest-selling ticket at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Following a 94-date tour across all the major towns and cities in the Antipodes, he recorded his first DVD,'Live At The Sydney Opera House', which has been in the top ten for over a year now.

Danny's simple observations are delivered with hilarious punch lines and he creates a remarkable intimacy with his audience. His routines have the mark of those, which are quoted for years to come. There will be a full support bill and Gerry Mallon is the host and MC.

Tickets for both these shows are on sale in advance at Bar 903, The Cellar Bar and at the door, which opens at 8.30pm on both nights.
