![]() Dublin-based four-piece band Delorentos will play The Róisín Dubh on Sunday 30 December at 9pm. The Róisín Dubh was where the band played one of their first shows. "The gentleman who runs the establishment was one of our first real supporters and we love coming to play there, it's like visiting family and the audience is as excitable as we are and that makes for great nights," says Ronan. The show will involve the band attempting to play instruments and sing, all while standing up. "'Impossible!' I hear you cry and yes, it is difficult, but we're getting better," he adds. The band is inspired by boredom, creative energy, and a passion for music - obvious reference points are The Pixies, The Cure, The Clash and Arcade Fire; more oblique influences slide in from most genres of music and virtually every decade from the 50s onwards. Tickets, €20, are available from The Róisín Dubh on Dominick Street. |
