This week's Laughter Lounge features the comic genius of Sarah Millican, Colum McDonnell and Keith Farnan, who will tell their comic tales tonight Wednesday 8 August in the Roisín Dubh.

Sarah has established herself as a crowd pleasing act with well written material and a gentle delivery style which disguises her cutting observations on life, love and moving back in with your parents. A regular at the Funny Bones Comedy Clubs, Stand Up Live and various gigs around the North East, Sarah is a prolific writer.

What Colum McDonnell lacks in stature, he gains in laughter. The 'wee' man from Dundalk has established himself on the Irish comedy circuit with an unusual outlook on life. A finalist in the 2002 BBC newcomers and the Channel 4 'So you think your funny?' competitions, Colum has gone on to support both Joe Rooney and Colin Murphy in Vicar Street.

Following on from a successful Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival as well as appearances at the Edinburgh Festival 'Best of the Irish', and having played across Ireland and the UK, Keith Farnan is rapidly building up a reputation as one of the most energetic and intelligent of the new Irish acts to watch.

Keith, who is beginning to make an impression on a wider audience, is a regular on RTE's 'Liffey Laughs' and the BBC Comedy series, 'One Night Stand'.

He has featured in shows in New York such as Laughing Liberally and the Sweet Show, which hosts comedians and writers from Saturday Night Live and ESPN as well as playing one of the premier clubs in New York, Stand-Up New York, on Broadway.

Daniel McGill fills the open mike spot this week. Tickets, €12.50 are available from the Roisín Dubh on Dominick street. Doors are open at 9pm.
