Galway audiences will have a rare opportunity to experience the wonderfully rich and atmospheric blend of Latin American folk and classical music later this month.

Founded in Havana in 1975, Quintet de Urfé was set up to showcase to the world the works of the Urfé family and other Cuban composers of the 20th and 19th centuries.

The Habanero's Quintet is one of only two ensembles that have played their unique repertoire of Cuban folk and classical music on the European stage.

They will play in the Town Hall Theatre on Saturday 31 May at 8pm. Tickets, €18/€15, are available from 091-569777.
