No one looked, or sounded, like Truman Capote. A five foot four terror, with a high-pitched, Southern drawl, he wrote as he spoke, like a surgeon with a scalpel; made by words, destroyed by words, drugs and alcohol.

However, Bob Kingdom's portrayal of the brilliant and tortured, adorable and wicked writer of Breakfast at Tiffany's and In Cold Blood has captivated audiences the world over.

And now Galway audiences can share in a unique, chic and heart breaking evening with the infamous Truman Capote.

Bob Kingdom grew up in Cardiff. Like Dylan Thomas, he lived in an Anglicised Welsh environment. From an early age Bob was captured by words and music.

A late recruit to the stage, he first established a major reputation in advertising copywriting. Confused with a multiplicity of talents, he was involved in television voice-overs and as a writer/performer of radio comedy shows.

Bob has also achieved International acclaim for his own written plays, Dylan Thomas: Return Journey and Truman Capote: Talk Show which have been seen in United States and Australia.

Truman Capote: Talk Show runs at Town Hall Theatre from Tuesday 10 to Thursday 12 February at 8.30pm. Tickets €15/€12 concession.
