Arkady Babchenko will read from his book, 'One Soldier's War in Chechnya' as part of the Cúirt International Festival of Literature in the Town Hall on Wednesday 23 April at 8.30pm.

Arkady Babchenko won Russia's Best Debut of the Year Prize for 'One Soldier's War in Chechnya'. Like Tolstoy and Babel before him, he is a great Russian writer whose first book reports from the frontline of Russia's wars.

His book has been described as an outstanding dispatch from the front line of war by an ordinary soldier who tells it like it is.

Tickets for all Cúirt Readings can be purchased from the Town Hall on 091-569777.
