A Christmas Carol
by Charles Dickens and illustrated by P.J. Lynch

Somehow Christmas simply isn't Christmas unless poor ould Marley is dead. However, sometimes you don't get a chance to pick up that great seasonal classic of all classics, Charles Dickens's 'A Christmas Carol'. This year Walker Books allow us to revisit this wonderful tale with a sumptuous edition of this delightful morality tale with the magnificent and evocative illustrations from Irish artist P.J. Lynch.

Here now is a wonderful opportunity to grab yourself a couple of hours this year, settle down by the fire and read about the meanest man on earth, the man whose name was to define misery for generations to come, Ebenezeer Scrooge, and how the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future reform this grasping, scrounging, miserable specimen of humanity into the warmest generous happiest of men over the period of one Christmas Eve night. We will dance a jig with Mr Fezziwig and at the end raise our glasses with Tiny Tim and say 'Happy Christmas One and All'.

Now that's what you call a Christmas treat and it behoves us here to echo Tiny Tim and to wish all our readers a 'Happy Christmas One and All'.
