Siobhan Donnellan

Married to the Sea, which scooped the Outstanding Actor's Award at this year's New York Fringe Festival, will run in The Town Hall Theatre until Saturday 3 November.

Fiachra O'Dubhghail from Cork, Shona McCarthy from Dublin and Siobhan Donnellan from Clare are the three founding members of Dragonfly Theatre Company, which are behind this production.

The trio are post-graduate students from the MA in Drama and Theatre Studies at NUI, Galway. Their desire for theatre is born out of the same thing: a mutual interest in the Michael Chekhov method, which they have brought to their latest production.

Writer Shona McCarthy has written and directed Project 06. Her one act play Mary Hegarty's Last Dance included performances from both Siobhan and Fiachra.

Her latest production is her first full-length play. It is a driven piece of theatre that is both haunting and humorous. The four-person play tells the story of Jo, an imaginative young girl growing up in the old Claddagh. Joe is exposed to her family's secret past, on the mysterious disappearance of her father,

Tickets, €12.50/€15, and are available from The Town Hall Theatre on 091-569777.
