The latest exhibition to show at the exclusive Art Essence Gallery in Liosbán will include new works by Vlad Shirkevicm, a talented young artist from Belarus.

Vlad has a distinctive style of painting, creating an atmospheric tone within each piece. This show will feature a new collection of watercolour and silk paintings.

This artist is confined to a wheelchair but has certainly not lost his optimism towards life nor his enthusiasm for painting. He is painting to raise money by selling his pictures to help the 'Sunflower Chernobyl Appeal', bringing children from the contaminated area of Belarus to Galway this July for one month.

This show also features new works by the prolific artist Joan Hogan, introducing an exciting new palette inspired by Galway and its watery surrounds this New Year, as well a new collection of black and white photographs by Denise Hogan.

Also beginning this week is Denise Hogan Design's annual customer sale. Denise is now in preparation for the launch of her new Spring Collection (details to be announced soon). There will be up to 40 per cent discount available on selected items, and registered loyalty customers will receive their customary extra ten per cent discount on all items. Hogan will also be making a donation to the Sunflower Chernobyl Appeal for every piece sold throughout the sale.
