If Country Rock, Honky-Tonk and Rock and Roll is your thing, then head to Kinvara on Sunday for Kinvara Area Music Collective's (KAM) next live gig. The Snakes, with special guest Jo Young, will be playing in Johnston's Hostel Kinvara on Sunday, 20 January, at 9pm. The Snakes' band members hail from Ireland, the UK and US, and have played with Bob Dylan, The Stunning, The Lost Hombres featuring Levon Helm and The Maimin Cajun Band. They always put on great high-energy shows, including some legendary Kinvara gigs, featuring original material by lead singer/bassist Darren Roberts. They are unique in having pedal steel guitar as one of the lead instruments. Jo Young is a distinctive and exciting songwriter with a beautiful and entrancing voice. She will be appearing here for the first time with her new band. Tickets, €10, are available from 087-9975862. |
