Alison was born and raised in Kingston Ontario but spent her formative years in Toronto, home to Broken Social Scene. She attended University of Toronto, going on to be awarded an Honours BA in Anthropology. When she wasn't studying, she was actively involved in the Toronto indie scene, managing band nights, writing and editing the college paper, and drumming in a band called 'The Justice League'.

Shortly after arriving in Ireland 1999, Alison settled nicely into Today FM, as the senior researcher on the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show. Working on a close-knit team, she was responsible for the show's features, guests and getting Dempsey to play a few alternative artists.

She also spent three years presenting and producing her own drive time radio show on Phantom FM, a show that heavily featured live sessions from Irish and International artists. Seven years later, she is now the Producer of the Breakfast Show and presents Today FM's indie music show 'The Last Splash'.

The Last Splash kicked off in May 2003 and has earned Alison two Meteor Nominations for Best Irish DJ. The show's mission is to feature the best indie rock, alternative classics, and to support unsigned Irish bands, something Alison has gained her reputation for.

The show also features sessions and interviews from all the famous indie kids who come through Ireland, plenty of generous giveaways and programme specials on different musical movements, or rock personalities. She loves what she does and it shows!

Doors open at 11pm.
