![]() The 41st Best Stand-up in the World, Steward Lee headlines the Laughter Lounge at the Róisín Dubh tonight, Wednesday 27 February. Lee is probably best known for co-writing and directing the critically acclaimed and controversial stage show 'Jerry Springer - The Opera', which won four Olivier awards. His new show, 'The 41st Best Stand-Up in the World!' reflects his position in a recent and spurious Channel 4 run-down of comedians. 'Lee's show is a masterclass in what the best stand-up can look like,' said The Observer. Diminutive giggle box Ian Coppinger - 'pound for pound the funniest human being to have existed anywhere ever' (Hot Press magazine) - provides support on the night. Tickets, which are €15/€12.50 on-line, are available on the door or from the Róisín Dubh or on line at www.roisindubh.net. |
