Long-suffering parents won't have to listen to the refrain 'I'm bored' this summer, with Whizzkids Summercamps set to run in NUI, Galway on the weeks commencing Monday 21 and Monday 28 July.

This ever-popular summercamp, targeted at 9 to 15 year olds, is the only hi-tech, hi-spec summercamp of its kind on offer in Ireland and an early booking is recommended. It offers web design, movie-making, a spy academy, sports and a host of other activities at Ireland's leading third level institutions. Entertaining and educational, it's lots of fun and kids will pick up valuable skills as they get hands-on time with digital cameras, PDAs, Blackberrys, MP4s and their very own PC to practise web design.

Day camps run from 9.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, where they will be designing, snapping, spying, surfing, mailing, acting, playing, gaming and breaking. A residential camp for teenagers will also run from Monday 14 to Friday 18 July at the University of Limerick and other day camps are run in UCD, DCU and UCC. Day camps cost €159 for one and €295 for siblings. The residential camp cost €350 per person.
