Ballybane Enterprise Centre's spring courses include a variety of short evening classes across a range of disciplines. Enrolments are now being accepted for the classes, which include topics such as healthy living, cooking, organic gardening, computers, languages, self-defence and personal development. In cooperation with tutors from Conradh na Gaeilge, the Enterprise Centre is introducing two courses in Irish, which cover the syllabus for the new Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG). Tosaitheoirí or Beginners is suitable for people who have not studied Irish before and the emphasis will be placed on pronunciation and basic conversational Irish and grammar. Bunrang or Refreshers is geared at people who have previously studied Irish. The emphasis is on refreshing the student's memory of Irish and confidence building in order to promote further learning. For those who want to brush up on their computer skills, the Introduction to Computers - Part 2 will include such topics as 'using your email' and 'getting the most from the Internet'.
