Some of Galway’s leading food and craft businesses will be exhibiting their wares at a special fair in the city later this month.
The first Local Food and Craft Gift Fair will take place at the Black Box Theatre on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November. It is being organised by Galway County & City Enterprise Board, in conjunction with the Galway City Council and Galway County Council.
The event will showcase Galway designers, handcrafted goods and artisan produce, with 40 stands featuring local crafts people and artisan food producers, including Judy Greene Pottery, Kinvara Smoked Salmon, Lynsey de Burca, Claregalway Castle, Tara Birmingham, Mariposa Textiles, Ambrose and Brid O’Halloran, Helen Griffin Ceramics and Ester Kiely.
These local crafts and food producers will be selling their products, which will range from a selection of homemade and artisan food, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, quilts, pottery and wood crafted pieces. There will be also be many other local products available to buy and gifts for any occasion.
Many of the crafts people will be giving demonstrations of their work at various times throughout the weekend and there will also be a children’s play area and a Christmas grotto so Mum and Dad can have some time browsing the many stands
