Local businessman and OTRA Board member Richard Hughes’ family chose OTRA to benefit from their record breaking run in the Dublin Marathon in 2014. An avid runner from his younger days, Richard says OTRA ticks all the boxes and he shares their vision for the future.
OTRA is a Personal Development Programme designed to improve physical well-being and mental health through running and walking – and in turn, restore and instil positive self-esteem and empower members to take control of their own lives for the better.
Since the pilot programme began in 2010, OTRA has helped many local people improve their physical and mental well-being. Many people have problems in starting and sticking with exercise, but exercise is a habit that needs forming, and OTRA can help develop those habits over their 24 week programme.
“Whatever challenges you are facing in life, exercise can provide focus; having new goals provides direction, and obtaining those goals however big or small breeds a sense of achievement and self-confidence,” says OTRA founder Paul Fallon.
