McCambridge’s of Galway were very popular winners of the Galway Chamber Business Awards 2015 in association with Shannon Airport presented on Saturday at a Gala Ball in the Salthill Hotel.
Receiving a standing ovation while accepting the award from CEO of Shannon Airport Neil Pakey, main sponsor, Natalie McCambridge praised her team at McCambridge’s for the win and said that they are the reason the business continues to grow and prosper.
President of Galway Chamber Frank Greene said that McCambridge’s epitomises what the Galway Chamber Business Awards are all about.”The theme of the Awards is ‘Innovation and Creativity’ and I think that McCambridge’s is a perfect example of a business that continues to reinvent and recreate itself to remain a leader in the marketplace. I wish Natalie McCambridge and her team every success into the future,” he said.
At the event 15 finalists were presented with certificates, 5 finalists were category winners and of these 5, one overall winner was chosen.
A special President’s Award, sponsored by the Port of Galway was also given to John Moloney, recently retired General Manager of Galway Racecourse, for his significant contribution to the economic life of Galway through his commitment to responsible business practices in all his endeavours, his innovation, creativity and his integrity in dealing with people. The award was received by Peter Allen, Vice Chairman of the Galway Race Committee, on John’s behalf.

Best Emerging Enterprise sponsored by WestBIC and Galway Technology Centre was given to Element Wave represented by Dorothy Creaven.
Best Large Company sponsored by VHI Healthcare was given to Supermac’s, represented by Pat McDonagh.
Best SME sponsored by AIB was given to McCambridge’s, represented by Natalie McCambridge.
Best Customer Service sponsored by Bank of Ireland was given to Eyre Square Dental, represented by Paula McDermott.
Promoting Galway sponsored by Galway City Council was given to Music for Galway, represented by Anna Lardi Fogarty.
The event was also addressed by President of Galway Chamber Frank Greene, CEO of Shannon Airport Neil Pakey and the after dinner speaker was Director of Ireland 2016 John Concannon.
