Applications are being sought for 60 funded places available on the next
‘Going for Growth’ business development initiative, which gets underway in January.
The initiative is designed to support women who are the owner/manager of a business that has been trading for at least two years and who wish to grow their business.
The programme, which involves a time commitment of one half day a month for six months, is free of charge to suitable applicants.
Going for Growth pairs successful and established women entrepreneurs with businesswomen who are at an earlier stage of company development.
The established entrepreneurs, known as ‘Lead Entrepreneurs’, act as role models to the early stage entrepreneurs and share their knowledge and experience with them on a voluntary basis.
Successful businesswomen who have committed to becoming Lead Entrepreneurs for the next cycle of Going for Growth include Clonakilty Black Pudding CEO Colette Twomey, Eurobase MD Julie Colclough, Giftsdirect.com founder and CEO Lulu O’Sullivan, and Tour America MD Mary McKenna.
Female entrepreneurs interested in applying for the next Going for Growth programme can access information and download application forms at www.goingforgrowth.com. The closing date for the receipt of applications is Wednesday 16 January.
