Galway Chamber will run a workshop on Training Needs with Forfás on Wednesday, 20 February. The workshop, which will take place in the Radisson Hotel, Galway, will involve examining the management development and training needs of companies. It will run from 11am to 1pm and will be followed by lunch. Forfás, the Management Development Council, will be seeking to understand whether the current supply of management development programmes are adequate to meet the needs of SME managers; The key factors inhibiting or dis-incentivising SMEs from investing in management development; The means by which enterprises identify their own management training and development needs; The characteristics of courses/supports/instruments most sought by SMEs when deciding to invest in management development, and; The level of 'in-company' management development taking place within SMEs.
