The House Hotel has made the Irish Times list of 'Top Five Luxury Destinations' in Ireland. "Just a step away from Galway's busy Quay Street the House Hotel is a lovely homely addition to the city. On Spanish Parade, the hotel is near enough to the madness to stumble home and far away not to hear the din of Saturday night…" The Irish Times was impressed by the luxurious elements, the personal touches and the friendly staff. "…It has become a real home from home. It is modern and contemporary in a comfy furnished way. No austere white on white here, but lots of little touches to soften the edges. Armchairs to sink into, quirky ornaments and knick-knacks, a breakfast buffet laid out on Stephen Pearce pottery, and bedrooms that you wish you had at home. Lots of thought and money has gone into creating the House Hotel, and it shows. It is a boutique hotel that is not twee. Staff are lovely and friendly, and the bedrooms are very comfortable." At The House, guests are treated like welcome houseguests rather than visitors, and pride is taken in providing quality facilities combined with personal, unobtrusive and diligent service. "Toiletries are L'Occitane and showers have big rainforest heads. The bed linen is crispy white and plasma-screen televisions make it difficult to drag yourself out. Other little touches, such as the free broadband, are welcome." |
