UPC Ireland, ntl's new parent company, last week announced that Galway
phone customers can expect a substantial reduction in their phone bills. Over 26,500 Galway homes are already enabled to receive digital TV, Broadband internet and digital phone from UPC. Customers switching to UPC will be able to plug their existing telephones into the UPC connection, as used by 2.7 million customers worldwide. According to Ronan Gallagher, telephone product manager of UPC Galway, the announcement demonstrates that the company is serious about offering real competetition to customers in Galway. "As a result, we are uniquely placed to pass on savings of over ?315 per annum to our customers, that represents over 50 per cent savings on customer's bills. We're delighted to offer alternative infrastructure competition to eircom and switching over to our service couldn't be easier," he said. |
