Off licence franchise Carry Out has awarded the electricity supply rights for its 60 stores nationwide to competitive electricity provider Energia, in a one year deal worth €250,000. Carry Out has a store in Gort. The deal with Energia will offer Carry Out a reduction of up to 10 per cent on its electricity bills. Energia also offer their customers an energy efficiency programme which if fully embraced can reduce energy consumption by up to 20 per cent. The electricity requirement of 2.9 GWh is the equivalent of supplying 620 homes. Sarah O'Mahony, Marketing Manager, Carry Out, commented: "We are pleased to take advantage of this opportunity to deliver value and improved service to our retailer network. We look forward to developing a mutually beneficial relationship between Energia and Carry Out. As we grow our store numbers all over the country, this is yet another great benefit for our store owners." Aidan Brennan, Key Account Manager, Energia, said: "Businesses around Ireland are strongly encouraged to examine their electricity outgoings to identify where they can save money and maintain competitiveness. Switching to Energia is easy and businesses can make savings of up to ten per cent on their electricity bills. Further savings are possible by implementing an energy efficiency programme." A member of the Viridian Group, Energia sources power from the Group's power station at Huntstown in Dublin. The Viridian Group's second power plant at Huntstown was recently completed, bringing its investment in the Republic of Ireland to EUR 500 million, and the capability to supply up to 17% of the electricity requirements on an all-island basis. |
