Aonghus and Philippa McGuinness and their team at O'Brien's Sandwich Bar, Liosban Business Park and Bothar Irwin branch have been short listed by the Irish Franchise association as franchisee of the year (Retail). The Irish Franchise awards are being held in the Conrad Hotel in Dublin on Thursday, 22 November.

Commenting on the event, Aonghus said "We are over the moon that we have made it to this stage of these prestigious awards. It's a reflection of all the hard work our team has put in over the past three years. Not only has it given us a real boost, it also recognises all the hard work we put into delivering great customer service".

Commenting on the short-listing Philippa said, "From day one, we believed in hard work and held high standards while our main strength lies in the development of our team. We would particularly like to thank all our team members who have worked hard to maintain our high service standards to ensure we have a successful business."

The annual franchise awards, held by the Irish Franchise association, now in their fourth year, recognise excellence in the franchise sector. They reward the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals in the growth and development of their business. The franchise sector has shown spectacular growth over recent years and the industry awards offer an opportunity to showcase the best of franchising and subject it to independent benchmarking, assessment and judgment.
