The Quality Hotel is to get a facelift, following the acquisition of its operating business last year by Dalata Ltd, with support from TVC plc and Davy Private Clients.

Along with eight other Quality and Comfort Hotels in Cork, Dublin, Limerick, Portlaoise and Wexford, the Quality Hotel will be re-branded to become a new name in Irish hospitality, Maldon Hotels.

The two properties located in Clonakilty and Youghal which are operated as management contracts will continue as Quality Hotels.

Pat McCann, CEO of Maldon Hotels, and former CEO of Jurys Doyle Hotel Group plc heads up an experienced management team of ten in Sandyford, Dublin which includes Stephen McNally, Deputy CEO, who has many years of hotel experience in Ireland and the UK. In total, the company employs 600 people.

Dermot Comerford, General Manager of the Maldon Hotel Galway, which recently celebrated its tenth birthday and is about to embark on a bedroom and meeting room refurbishment programme is equally enthusiastic about the launch of the new brand.
