Lohans Cafe Bar & Restaurant, Salthill has been announced as a winner of the Marketing Through Irish Award in the Marketing Institute Of Ireland, West Region Awards. ![]() Lohans was also recognised earlier this year when they won the Gradam Sheosaimh Ui Ogartaigh for the use of the Irish language in the business. One of its most recent Irish language initiatives is the circol comhra, which runs every Monday night in Lohans. People can converse as Gaeilge in a casual relaxed surroundings with likeminded people, or practise their conversational Irish, order a bite to eat or a drink and break the ice using their Gaeilge. If people order a cupan tae as Gaeilge on the night, they get it for free! The Marketing Institute of Ireland West Region Awards is the premier independent awards program for companies and businesses in the West of Ireland today. |
