To celebrate its second birthday, Little Expectations Nursery, Maternity and Children's Wear in Loughrea is holding a coffee morning on Saturday 12 July in aid of Enable Ireland.

The festivities will kick of at 10am and there will be plenty of treats for the kids, while Ali from Insight Studios will also be on hand to take photos.

"When we first opened Little Expectations two years ago," explains co-proprietor Martina Kingsland, "Our goal was to provide a relaxed shopping experience for new and expectant parents, with a full range of products to meet their needs, including the essentials like buggies, car seats, nursery equipment and furniture, safety equipment, developmental toys, maternity, Christening and baby wear.

"Our children's wear caters from birth to 12 years, with brands like Krickets, Fransa, Brubaker, Claire and others. We have a wide range of feeding equipment, including breast pumps and sterilizers, and other essentials. We also stock Floaties swim aids, swim nappies and sun essentials. "As mums, we understand how difficult it is to shop, especially with children so we endeavour to keep Little Expectations as family friendly as possible. We have easy access to a car park, wheelchair and buggy access.

"We offer a breast feeding and changing area for our customer's convenience and toilet facilities are available. Our play area is always a hit with our mini customers, who try out all the latest toys. We also offer an easy pay system, deposit and lay away service and a local delivery service. "The launch of our website (www.littleexpectations.ie) has brought us customers from all over the country. Our reputation as a shop which gives good practical advice not only on our products but on the day-to-day problems faced by mothers has come to the attention of RTE's Nationwide and their recent programme on Mothers and babies featured Little Expectations," says Martina.
