The Arrabawn Centre in Oranmore is at an advanced stage of construction and on target for completion before the end of 2009. Lidl was announced as the anchor tenant in late April and the centre has since seen a huge interest from local and national retailers and businesses. Other tenants announced for the centre include Londis; Home Gallery furniture and accessories store; a well-known national newsagent; and a ladies clothing and accessories boutique. The centre will also house a men's clothes shop, hair and beauty salon and chemist. Curley Holdings is currently in advanced talks with other big name sports and clothing retailers and the last remaining units are expected to be leased in the coming weeks. The second floor will accommodate a fitness centre and interested parties are urged to contact Curley Holdings. Medical professionals are also invited to contact the letting agents to discuss occupation of the spacious second floor medical centre. Office space to accommodate various layouts and specifications are also available in this prime location. A portion of the office space is intended to house serviced office units to offer start up businesses the opportunity to trade from a prestigious address and utilise a professional answering service. John Curley of Curley Holdings remarked that, "The current stage of the build allows potential tenants the flexibility to have their desired floor space and internal division requirements considered in advance of development completion." Working from the Arrabawn Centre will offer businesses the perfect environment for employees, client meetings and social networking with a restaurant space of 2750 sq. ft. This restaurant will easily manage the busy lunchtime, shopping and occasional trade. Oranmore is one of Galway's most important satellite towns and has been a sought after location for businesses and commuters alike for many years. It is by far the fastest growing town in the region with the population increasing by 102 per cent between 2002 and 2006. Availability of parking spaces, reduced commuter journeys and a location at the crossroads of the main destination routes into and out of Galway puts Oranmore in a favorable position with many companies.
