The West of Ireland is set to receive a tourist boost from Britain if a new TV advertising campaign for Ireland West Airport Knock and Tourism Ireland has the desired effects.
This will be the first time Ireland West Airport Knock has used TV advertising to promote its product and it is just one part of a joint marketing initiative that will see British tourists targeted to visit the region. There are two parts to the commercial and it will straddle both ends of the break in which it is shown, with the first half featuring activities to do in the West and North West, and the second featuring the options available at Ireland West Airport. According to Annette Kearney, Marketing and Communications Manager at Ireland West Airport Knock, “This TV campaign enables us to effectively promote all our access points to a wider audience in Britain and together with Tourism Ireland, we hope to attract more visitors from this market to our region, which should see additional knock-on benefits in terms of visitor numbers and tourism spend.”
