Appointment: Regional Head of Private Banking, Bank of Ireland, West of Ireland.

Bank of Ireland Private Banking last week announced the appointment of Des Moore as Regional Head of Private Banking for the West of Ireland.

Des joins Bank of Ireland Private Banking from Permanent TSB where he was most recently Area Manager West, Retail Banking. Prior to this, he was responsible for National Irish Bank's business centres outside the Dublin region. He previously held roles in Bank of Ireland's Corporate and Retail businesses over a period of fifteen years. Des graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1991. He holds an MBA from the JE Cairnes School of Business at NUIG in 2006 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.

Announcing his appointment, David Lowen, Director, Client Management, Bank of Ireland Private Banking said: "Des brings considerable experience and expertise to our business and I am very pleased that he has joined our team. This role is vital to the continued expansion of our business in the West and I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to the growth of our business."
