The Western Management Centre, based in Galway City, has been at the forefront of training and education for the past 22 years. Over the years the centre has worked with individuals and organisations, through the channel of training, to achieve their personal and business goals.  According to Berni Ferris, Director of the Western Management Centre: “Today’s working environment is increasingly competitive and so people need to re-skill or re-educate themselves and add to their existing qualifications. At Western Management Centre we understand the needs of both students and business and bring twenty two-years of experience and expertise to our courses.”

The centre offers a wide range of evening and part-time programmes, which have been designed to help individuals acquire practical business skills. Through established links with both national and international educational and professional institutes students can avail of internationally recognised accredited courses.

The courses cover the key areas of business management, people management, financial management, production management and legal studies.

The centre is an off-campus centre for the National College of Ireland, a leading third level educational college. Certificate and diploma courses in business skills, people management and supervisory management are on offer.

The Centre is also an accredited ACCA Centre and offers the certified accounting technician course and the diploma in financial management. The ACCA is the world’s largest accountancy body.

Diplomas are also offered in marketing, advertising, public relations, business skills and human resource development. The Institute of Commercial Management, an international educational and examining body, accredits these professional diploma courses.

The certificate in production and inventory management provides students with a comprehensive programme covering the most up-to-date concepts and techniques in the field of supply chain management. Successful students are awarded the CPIM, which is internationally recognised, particularly within the multinational sector.
