Over 30 business leaders attended the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) West of Ireland branch Leadership Seminar: 'Hidden Giants: How to Lead Your Business to Success', held in the Marriott Hotel, Galway last month. The seminar was organised in conjunction with LEAP, the Galway-based Business Advisory company. The main speaker on the night was John Raftery, of LEAP. LEAP's theories on Leadership and Management have galvanised a large number of Managing Directors to take full responsibility for the leadership of their businesses resulting in significant, positive impact on their organisations' performances. The second speaker was Evelyn O'Toole, Managing Director of Complete Lab Solutions (CLS). CLS, based in Rosmuc, offers a nationwide contract laboratory service from its purpose built state-of-the-art premises. The company has grown with industry and is equipped with dedicated technologies along with highly qualified microbiologists, chemists, technicians and environmental science experts. Commenting on the level of interest shown in the seminar and the high level of attendance at the event itself, President of CIMA West of Ireland branch, Mr Tom Gilligan said there was a requirement amongst business people for this type of event. |
