Halifax launched a new 'Pink' credit card on Monday at its Eyre Square base. Derek Tracey, Branch Manager, Eyre Square said, "Customers will now have a choice whether to go for our classic black card or the extra stylish pink version when applying for a Halifax Credit Card. We see the new Halifax Pink card as a style proposition for the thousands of Irish people who want a great rate and a really stylish card in their wallet. It is now easier than ever before to switch your credit card - so why not do this and get a new lower rate as well as a chic card that fits your own individual style." The rate for the card will be the same as the Halifax Black card, offering customers 0 per cent on balance transfers and purchases for the first six months or €100 lodged to the new credit card account. The rate is then 10.9 per cent APR on balance transfers and purchases, which is also the same as the Halifax Black card. Applications for the card can be made immediately by calling 1890 81 81 81 or applying online at www.halifax.ie, or by dropping into any of the bank's 40 branches nationwide. Customers can make payments to their credit card account by direct debit, by post by standing order or by telephone or internet banking, or at any Halifax branch. The card can be used in over 27 million places worldwide. There is also a facility on the card to have three additional cardholders. |
