Over 150 of the racing fraternity were out in force on Wednesday night last when they gathered in the luxurious Penthouse Suite of the Radisson Hotel for a reception hosted by Chairman of Goffs, Eimear Mulhern, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing and the Parknasilla Hotel.

Race-goers, trainers, owners and would-be purchasers gathered to hear details of this year's race day and the staggering prize funds on offer for those who purchase yearlings at the Goffs Million Sale 2007 next October.

Excitingly, the 2007 Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Millions Races carry an even bigger prize fund of ?3.2 million split across just two races - one for colts and another for fillies. Taking place at The Curragh racecourse on Friday 14 September the winner of each race is guaranteed to take home a staggering ?1 million making the day the richest race in Europe for two year olds.

This year also sees the introduction of a new incentive from Goffs, The Guineas Bonus, which could potentially stretch the Goffs Millions' prize fund to ?5.2million next year. Following the success of the inaugural Goffs Million last September, the Race Day yet again promises to be a truly magnificent occasion, with spectacular racing, pageantry, glamour and entertainment. The fashion stakes are set to be high as Brown Thomas is providing a massive prize fund of ?20,000 to be presented to the Most Stylish Woman on the day.

Enjoying the reception was the owner of the Parknasilla Hotel, Mr Bernard McNamara and his wife Moira, last year's Goffs Millions winner Bill Durkan and his lovely wife Beatrix, new CEO of Goffs, Henry Beeby and Mick Kinane.

Also in attendance were property developers Sean Mulryan and Tony Gannon, trainers Michael Halford, Jessica Harrington, Fossie Stack and Ger Lyons and Denis Egan, CEO of The Turf Club.
