Galway-based school wear company, National Schoolwear, has developed its business online and is now the easiest option for school wear shopping. The company, founded by Frances McElwain, has been providing school wear to Galway City and County since 2000 at its shops in the Liosban Industrial Estate and Chapel Lane, Tuam.

With the growth of Internet shopping in recent years, Frances decided to make life easier for frazzled parents and created the website www.theschoolwearcentre.ie in July this year.

Clothing bought through the site can be paid for by credit card and delivered or collected by post, and the company has had "a good response" from customers, according to Frances.

"It's a huge development, we've had a lot of customers using it and they seem to be very happy with it," she said.
