Well-known Galway construction retail outlet McDonagh and Sons Ltd has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of a 3,344 hectare site in Ballybane. The proposal involves the demolition of all existing buildings on site and the construction of a new builders providers and DIY retail outlet and associated offices at Bother na Mine. Four bulky retail outlets and associated offices also form part of the plans, with the provision of the company's new corporate offices at ground and first floor levels. The total gross floor area of the proposed buildings is 15,548 square metres and will be constructed alongside a general waste management yard, ESB substation and switch room, pumping station, oil station facilities and 274 parking spaces. |
