Curley's Furniture will welcome new neighbours D.I.D. Electrical to the Briarhill Business Park in Ballybrit this weekend. The arrival of D.I.D. was announced in late June and work has recently been completed on the fit-out of the largest electrical store in the county. The agreement between Curley's Furniture and D.I.D. Electrical was born out of a desire to offer the people of Galway a one-stop-shop for their home furniture and electrical appliances. The two 100 per cent Irish-owned companies will operate at Briarhill, Galway and Westgate Business Park, Ennis. The Galway store will be the biggest electrical store in the region, occupying an additional 20,000 sq ft underneath Curley's Furniture in Briarhill. The Ennis store will take up over 10,000 sq ft of the Westgate Business Park. D.I.D. Electrical currently operates 16 branches nationwide, with the addition of the Galway and Ennis stores bringing this total to 18. It is also expected that this number will grow in conjunction with the projected expansion planned for Curley's Furniture nationwide. John Curley of Curley's Furniture said, "I am delighted to be joining forces with D.I.D. Electrical and expect the relationship will extend to all Curley's Furniture locations in the future, offering our customers a one stop shop for all their home requirement." The D.I.D. Electrical store will open this week at Briarhill and customers to both stores can expect a number of promotions, reinforcing the value for money ethos of both companies. |
