A large crowd of people queued in Oranmore on Thursday morning for the opening of the new Lidl store on the site of the old dairies. The Lidl store is the company's fourth store opened in 2009 and their second in Galway in less than six months. This brings the total number of stores in the Republic to 114. Lidl Ireland GmbH spokesperson, Aoife Clarke said the company was delighted with the fantastic response to the opening. "All the staff in the store look forward to welcoming all their new customers over the coming weeks and offering them the best value for money in Ireland. "Our recently announced 'Price Revolution' means we have a massive amount of prices cuts in our stores in the Republic - regardless if you shop in Dundalk or Youghal." |
