CPC Wise has announed their sponsorship of Driver CPC courses to the Irish Wheelchair Association bus drivers before the Bus Driver CPC deadline passes. Driver CPC is the new and legally required course for all professional bus and truck drivers. The IWA was founded in 1960 by a small group of wheelchair users committed to improving the lives of people with physical disabilities in Ireland.

Given the shortage of accessible public and private transport, CPC Wise believes the transport service the IWA undertake is vital.

The IWA transport fleet enables people to access IWA services and other activities, supporting the social inclusion of people with disabilities who might otherwise remain isolated. CPC Wise hopes to increase awareness of the transport needs of people with physical disabilities by highlighting the topic in its relevant Driver CPC modules.

With the Bus Driver CPC deadline fast approaching on Thursday 31 December, private bus drivers are advised to book their course as soon as possible to guarantee their place on a course.

CPC Wise have also recently opened their new training centre in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe. With no other training centre in the East of County Galway, CPC Wise will be the only RSA approved Driver CPC Provider in the area.

Since running Driver CPC courses, CPC Wise has had many requests for further training from professional drivers. As a result, CPC Wise will now be running two new courses in Digital Tachograph Training and Driver Hours Law Training. Digital tachograph training will appeal to both new and existing drivers who want to have a full grounding in the issues relating to digital tachographs and be efficient in their use.
