An Taoiseach Brian Cowen has been confirmed as the special guest at this year's Annual Network Galway Business Women of the Year Awards. The annual event celebrates excellence and innovation in business, with previous winners including Anne Flanagan, Galway Oyster Festival, Liz Cassidy, Irish Time Design and Denise Hogan, Denise Hogan Designs to name but a few. This years awards are being held at the newly refurbished Salthill Hotel, on Saturday 8 November. It promises to be a spectacular black-tie affair, according to the event organiser, President of Network Galway Mairéad Cosgrave. She also said that having the Taoiseach attend and present the awards would provide an enormous boost to the nominees and eventual winners, as well as to Network Galway itself.
