Junior Chamber Ireland’s Galway’s Easter Egg project sponsored by Supermacs was a huge success, according to organisers. The project involved JCI members collecting chocolate Easter Eggs at children’s masses in Knocknacarra, Barna, Claregalway, Renmore and Mervue and redistributing them to local charities. Special guest on the day was the Easter Bunny who helped collect hundreds of eggs for local charities including St Vincent de Paul, Cope, The Friendship Club, Eglinton Hostel and many more. “This project is hugely popular and shows the generosity of Galway’s children in helping those less fortunate. JCI Galway is a part of an international voluntary organisation for people aged 18 to 40 and we always have a lot of fun with this project. We want to thank Supermacs for their sponsorship and also all those involved in organising the masses and the collection and distribution to the various charities,” said Evelyn Cormican, President of JCI Galway. Supermac's is Ireland's largest and fastest-growing indigenous fast food group and is actively involved in a number of community projects. Anyone interested in knowing more about JCI Galway’s involvement in Community, Business, Personal Development and International events is welcome to attend its general meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 8pm in The Courtyard Marriott Hotel, Headford Road, Galway.
