Independent TV channel City Channel is to boost its sales drive with the appointment of a new manager, Eddie Redmond. Mr Redmond has worked in the print and marketing industry for 22 years.

He has joined City Channel having worked for a Waterford-based print company as print sales manager for the west of Ireland for the past two years. Eddie commented, "I can see the huge potential that City Channel has to offer companies here in the West of Ireland and in particular Galway. Television advertising brings a whole new ball game to business promotion within the Western region but also a very cost effective solution for advertising nationwide. Plus ChannelSouth is being launched in August to service both Cork and Limerick."
