If its blinds you're looking for, Better Blinds is the place to go. From roller blinds to vertical blinds, Venetian to roman, wooden,
pleated and velux blinds, Better Blinds has them all. The company is 21
years on the go and still going from strength to strength.
Robert Reilly joined Better Blinds ten years ago as a blind manufacturer, climbed the ladder into sales, then management, and six years ago became a 50 per cent owner of the company, to join forces with the man who formed it, George Cullen. Robert came from a career in the printing business but wanted a change and when the opportunity of a job with Better Blinds came up, he took it. "I love meeting people, I enjoy it," he says. According to the expert, the thing that makes Better Blinds unique is that they will measure your windows, manufacture the blinds to your requirements and then install the blinds at a time that is convenient to the customer. All this is done from their purpose-built factory and showroom at Briarhill Business Park, Ballybrit. There is "a hell of a lot involved in making blinds," says Robert. "It's very complex, there are so many different types of blinds. Every window is measured individually and then the blind is custom made. "Because we go out and consult with our customers, they are fully aware of what they are getting. Our sales book is specially designed for Better Blinds, displaying all our fabric and designs, ensuring ease in selecting with the help of a member of our sales team the correct blind for their windows." After 15 years on the Tuam Road, the business established a name for itself and six years ago it moved to Briar Hill Business Park in Ballybrit. The office, 4,500 sq. ft factory floor and showroom were designed and custom built to suit the needs of Better Blinds. "It's better out here, it's convenient and there is plenty of parking. Everything is just so friendly for the customer, our showroom is bigger and brighter. It's also better for us, as manufacturers, suppliers and installers because we have more space and you can provide a better product if you have more space. Everything has a place and everything is in its place. We do try to keep everything right because it's the only way you can put out a good product," says Robert. Robert is obviously proud of the success of his business. "We're 21 years at it. We wouldn't be here unless we were good at it. What we pride ourselves on here is we do blinds and we do blinds well." The Better Blinds showroom is open from 9.30am to 6pm, Monday to Saturdays and can be contacted on 091 - 753648 or www.betterblinds.ie. |
